I know I'm in the minority here but I just don't think jeans -- especially cuffed jeans -- work with the rest of this ensemble, which is splendid, by the way.

I'm surprised no one has had a comment about the jacket being too short. That or the arms are too long.

The length of the sleeves are good, it's the jacket which is a tad short. I must say that the fabric looks great and the fit is very, very good.

ID ... you've posted pictures riding a bike, fishing or acting like fishing and if i remember right out at dinner ... all of which could be argued as taking away from your fits. no one called you out.

    smh @ the hypocrisy.

fall/winter is a typically good season for this thread. i think you will see a lot more great fits as the season turns.

it may be technically short - but sometimes some things just look good ... and this is such a case.

the rigidity of the rules can sometimes make people miss the BIG picture i.e. looking well put together overall.

in theory this all works, the color combos, but in reality it all just looks like a jumble of various colors to my eye. and that's without your actual head in the pic. with your complexion shown, that teal color works great for you, but the brown I think is just the wrong shade... looks a bit poo-y IMO :satisfied:. maybe it's because it looks like an orphaned suit jacket? If you wore that SC with more formal pants and more businessy shirt i think it could work better. Loafers are ok, but I'm not sold on the socks there...
Rules? eh, they're sort of more like guidelines.... in this case I think the length is still ok, maybe fashion forward short, but proportionately it seems to work.

You have been trying very hard to elicit an unsavory reaction from me, but i will not stoop into the gutter in which you dwell.

    Carry on.

UC you do the flannel suit, solid tie style exceptionally well. I'm looking forward to what you post for Autumn and Winter!

Running out to my birthday dinner, so no time to tweak the obvious technical difficulties. Still, first fit pic from my new office at the new house.

Kevin, cut him a small piece of slack - although the fit is not what we generally want to see here (SW&D is definitely a better choice of posting locale for what he was wearing), assuming that his location name is correct, he lives in Kazakhstan, not exactly the fashion capital of the world.

Congrats on the B-day and the new abode, but the suit shown, though it seems to fit you well in terms of shoulders, waist suppression and sleeve length, has lapels that would lead me to believe that you thrifted it, and that it was originally made sometime in the 1970. For my own tastes, the lapels would be a deal-breaker, and I personally do not like the fabric, and suit, shirt and tie are not working together as a whole IMHO (shirt and tie are fine separately - not so sure about together).

Sorry to rain on your parade . . .
