1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The Richard Simmons getup would have been much too cold for last night's festivities. So, I decided to give a sarcastic nod to the faura:

A critical bit of information omitted prior to my "costume" selection (revealed to me only as I was having my Jeep valet parked next to a squadron of Ferraris, S class Mercedes, and Jaguars) was the fact that said festivities would be occurring at a billionaire's mansion.

I went with the same costume this year, except with a sign saying "I am the 1%, b***h." I like the sign though, clever--I just went with a nametag. It was great that 3-4 other people did the whole "I am the 99%" thing.

Thanks guys. I've posted various pictures of that suit over the years. It's from the first season of Michael Bastian and the cloth is a mottled twill. It's nice because it wears cooler than a heavy flannel, but it holds it's shape a lot better than a lightweight flannel. The flash on that shot seemed to dial up the contrast and bring out the depth of the color. My pose hides some of the weaknesses of the suit's cut. It's styled a bit like a Thom Browne suit, so the lapels are thin, the jacket is shortish and the overall cut is pretty slim. The details are not overly exaggerated, so it's still very wearable, but not exactly to my taste.

I did some Terapeak research on Mr. Spoo's eBay operations... By my calculation, 2013 is the year he passes the Don.

One guy at the party I went to last night did "I am the 2 percent" and came dressed as a carton of milk. I thought it was plenty clever...definitely upstaged the hordes of gents coming as "the 1%"
