That looks amazing on you. I hope you bought it.
Derek is like my doppelgänger. .
I WISH I could just buy it...
But it is $5200 .... I would need to sell a kidney
Oops -- I mistook Williams to be Westminsters.
Derek, red & yellow are primary colors, and thus (in a round about way) complement each other. No problem there.
What Lufty said re: textures is correct, albeit next level stuff. I'm still getting the hang of it myself, and I've also been called out on it.
Just bear in mind that from a classic men's clothing standpoint, the jacket is a bit short & snug. That said, you've got a good figure, and I've seen you button the jacket, so if you like the fitted look, rock it homie. Girls (and some guys, for sure) will think it's teh sechs.
Don't go with a lighter tie than your shirt. It looks tacky. I would suggest a solid or pin dot dark blue/navy tie that picks up on the blue stripe in the shirt. Let the shirt be the focal point and the tie enhance it.
p.s. You should have posted this here.
I agree the outfit is off, but I'd take a different approach than Lufty. The trousers are the most unique element, so I'd base the outfit around them. Swap for a plain shirt, a different color/texture tie (I think a large scale regimental stripe could work, too), and a more subtle PS, and it won't look so discordant. Matching parallel checks and stripes is not easy.
The question we're all asking: Why can't a nice manufacturer replicate his designs at a better price point?
everybody's on that jacket being too slim - i can't place the issue on slim, but something looks strange on it, particularly around the shoulders. it doesn't at all look like you can't button it, in fact i'd wager you have too much room around your gut when you do. have you had it altered? can you take another picture of it buttoned?
otherwise i like the outfit, but would exchange the red stripe shirt for some strip that works better color-wise with the pants.
I was scrolling back through a few pages looking for rib cage differences (don't ask, I'm a maniac, I know) and as I passed this, SWMBO saw it and wanted to know why someone would put "bunny ears" in their pocket.
I don't know what a SWMBO is, but pocket origami is trending on the iGent hype circle. For my next trick, Ill do a swan. In all truthfulness, Ive once created the Sydney opera house in a pocket square. True story.
