Casino was one of the movies that starred good looking suits.
It's just 1960s mens' dress; I think next season is agoing to be 1966? So not really "slim", but that's how everyone today perceives it. Many of the actors are wearing sacks, some are wearing suits that are a size two small. Everyone just notices that it doesn't look awful, like many guys in suits today.
I'm afraid the lapels is the extent of my photochop skills. Here's the shot in black and white for you, if it makes a difference.
Spoiler: B/W Shot.
Spoozy- Neither of these work for me, and I think it's the tie that breaks each of them. First tie could have been a solid navy. Second could have been a darker color, whether navy or deep red.
I like the one on the right. Buttoning the lower button also creates a nice, longer line of the lapel. That can look a bit more elegant IMO. But the DB has to be cut for that. Some are cut to be almost angular and require the higher button. I can't tell if that is the case in these pics.
Borrelli tie, MT shirt, SS sportcoat, talbott PS
a little closer
Ive had the prada belt since high school. beat up adn broken in. Love it, cant seem to get rid of it.
Not me, but my 86 year old grandfather. Still kicking ass
Great photo and....супер-дед
I think this looks great. and that jacket......... A+.
The pants and down, however, remind me of something more casual. They still look good but it seems more of a post work/ weekend kind of thing. Just my half a cent.
Nice pic, Moo.
Yeah, crusty! Confess!
Who made your tie, the Easter Bunny?
(Full disclosure: Joke stolen from Gdot's wife.)
Like the belt. How wide is it?
Hey there! You lay off of those Drake's shantungs..............A guy's gotzta have a little funz every now and then.............................
If we don't wear these things who you gonna have to sneer at??????
We should ALL be so lucky!
Great pic Mr. Moo.
The chopped lapels do look more period for the Mad Men theme.
