Great classic look Fred. Like the more subtle approach lately. I'm starting to come off "Italian" and veering more to "English" myself lately.

I ENVY YOU on the Lobb's. Still saving up for a pair...!

Thanks all for the replies on my first shot here. I didn't have anything higher to put my smartphone on. The shot was made in the office, so I had to make do with a table and a book for support. Will look for something else the next time.

As for the tie, it was an oldie I still had in my collection and I wasn't completely sure about wearing it. As for the knot... I have denied the existence of other knots than a full windsor for the past 22 years. Sorry...

Hello all, this is my first time posting a picture in the WAYRN. Go easy on me. Cheers!

The picture is taken when I am sitting from my phone so that is causing some bunching from the shirt.

Hi Vic and welcome. This is a nice outfit. My gut reaction is there is too much going on. Each piece is sort of a show-stopper and draws your eyes, but then your eye is drawn everywhere at once and fatigued. I'd choose at least one item to 'boringize'. E.g. a solid tie, or a solid square, or a solid shirt, or a more muted red in the pants, or a darker jacket... any one of these things would give it a more harmonious feel. Just my opinion though, and I'd be interested to hear if others agree.

Hi. Kevin.
First of all, thank you for the wellcoming.
As for my outfit: here I tried to play with blues and reds (except for the jacket, of course).
I understand your point, and could agree, but then, I think that, for example, the jacket is sober enough to "cut" a bit the "distraction" (may I say it this way?) points: tie, shirt, pants... And the dark colour of the tie,I think that helps too. I too think that the tie wouldn't match well with a solid shirt, unless I wear another kind of jacket, don't you agree? Solid jacket, solid shirt...not my style. And that, of course, would change the whole outfit

But once again, I understand what you mean, and next time, will try something closer to that-

Cheers

Vic

Gnatty - This is my favorite post of yours recently.

Very put together. Lot's of tie - but it works for me!

This evening... sorry for having to use the flash but it was too dark otherwise. Days are getting noticeably shorter (which is a good thing) :)

Gnatty - I wanted to ask: What's your impetus for tying your tie sideways such that the blade is exposed. I've noticed this with most of your fits, so I assume it's a stylistic choice, and I was curious as to why.
