:( it's too bad. I got this tie in the winter and was really looking forward to wearing it. It's a Barba 7 fold linen. I agree it does not work with the fit, was really just trying to find the right context for it. Besides the fire, does anyone have suggestions for a better application? Thanks to Doc, Matt and the good doctor for your advice.

Something less saturated. I find very pale ties hard to work with in general. Maybe a stone cotton suit? Very light gray three piece?

At the risk of sounding unintentionally insulting, it might be more manageable if you covered a good portion of it with a vest or sweater.

That actually makes perfect sense re: saturation. I typically don't wear pale ties at all. I also think it would have been better served against a white shirt. I like the beige cotton suit idea, maybe I'll try it once more with that. Not sold on the grey, but thanks for the suggestion. You should know by now I don't get insulted, so don't worry. ;)

It's not the color, it is the combination of pattern and color. I like paisleys more than just about anybody here, from what I recall, but that enormous paisley really only works in madder colors and wools. Big and light like that, and it is just an eyesore.

I agree with you, personally, but if I step outside my box, I've seen Ralph employ that sort of tie in a cohesive fashion. I didn't like it, but it fit in its aesthetic.

I like the suit and tie, Lufty. Not sold on the shirt weave.

Your pocket square is really on the go.

I heard you loud and clear back in ye old CBD thread. And while I may have now come around, I am not tossing the shirt before it has met the end of its life.

 This sounds silly, but I have never heard this colloquialism. Am I to understand that it's all over the place? If that's what was meant, then it was fixed after this photos.

Do we need the services of a jacquard assassin? I could send someone over with a bottle of red wine.

So long as I get a replacement in my closet, then I'd have no qualms. You have any ~14.5x33s lying about?

    Crusty,

I take back anything even slightly disparanging I might have said about that tie. What I meant to say was - DUDE THAT TIE ROCKS!

Or even more appropriately - wear it with pride my man.

    Best - G

Looks good. Interesting pattern on the tie...

+1 on the tie critiques. I agree that it's hard to wear the pale ties. I have a few (tellingly, most were gifts) which are a real bitch to coordinate.

I appreciate that you have a difficult shape to fit, but damn, man, that jacket isn't doing you any favors.

Really solid, but my first thought was...

    ...and there he appeared!

I will begin to spread more detailed photo shoot from my archive.

I apologize for the intrusive and may be too many pictures.

Fully all the pictures in photo sessions (about 20-30 pictures in each group) will not spread. Only a few of them. From 5 to 10 photos.

If it is tired, then I apologize in advance.

This session is called "American Chopper"

Lufty, this is one of your best fits. Color combo, hem length, taper, etc.
