I am too used to the minds of unwell individuals.

The more I've thought about this philosophy, the more it just doesn't make sense to me. When you actually just plop a square in your pocket without any thought at all, it looks terrible. You get too much showing (see Spoo's look today), too little showing, or a pocket bulge that makes you look like you had a mastectomy on the other side.

It is possible to look too carefully dressed, but a little artifice isn't a bad thing. Compare it with a nicely done tie dimple, which nobody complains about as looking too artificial. It's way better to take a little care when you're tying your tie than to end up with something messy-looking like Aeglus' knot yesterday.

    +1

Sugarbutch, those pants cry out for a trip to the tailor.

I hate belts. They just sagged a bit. When hiked up to their proper spot on my waist, not nearly so puddly. I need to sew some braces buttons in.

Seersucker, take 2, in which I have practiced TITFD.

Some color to the ps and this is good! And those loafers are nice, maker?

    Feeling a bit splashy [IMG]
Colors came out a bit oversaturated, but...

Looks good, however maybe plain (or plaid) blue shirt would have worked even better.

    1930's Boater Redux....(be warned, it's a touch 'costumy')

I'm not a huge fan of hats but this works... Really like that DB and that tie!

    A very nice start; welcome!

    Thanks!

Good looking pattern on that suit, all in all nice look!

    And today's pics.

I hope you made sure to check the integrity of all of the seams, and the suppleness of the lining...

TTO when will you realise that HRR isn't for two weeks time? Your past two outfits have been verging on the gaudy and completely costume. Too many individual elements that although in their own would be excellent additions to an otherwise sober outfit are, when worn together, all vying in competition causing the overall theme to be one of extravagantly overblown dress that simply is not elegant. The boater doesn't sit well with a big full on beard. I own a boater, I like boaters, but I only wear it to rowing events or HRR. Your style works best for me when you tone it down somewhat, and only bring in a few elements at once. Then you look both urbane and elegant. Not all at the same time please!

You look distinctly non-plussed; having a bad day?

Nice outfit though. Watch is also nice, but not ideal for that look IMO.

Metal-banded sports watches usually aren't the norm for suits, but I really don't care. I love this watch. But y'know, it wasn't the greatest day.

Then again, any day I'm not being chased through the jungles of Burma by a guy with a saw-tooth bayonet is a great day, as far as I'm concerned. So no, it was a great day. [IMG]

Splendid, Mike. Now if you could only get that hair under control...

Don't even discuss the wrinkled trou.
It's not the wrinkles, Lufty; it's the apparent pooling of fabric at the ankles.

I recently ordered a pair of dirty bucks from BB, but now that I see you in these -- and am recalling all the other times you've looked great in white bucks -- I'm thinking that I picked the wrong color.

Day-um! You make a helluva debut.

^^dirty bucks are fine, just they go with different colors than something all white.

    Disagreed 100%.

I think he's fine, he must enjoy his hair at that age
