Sometimes, there's a tad too much rus in your urbe for me. I'm not sure that a city suit like that does well with that kind of wool checked tie.

(And yes, that was a triple entendre. Maybe more.)

Overall, I think that guys in this thread are going a bit overboard with the wool ties, especially for those currently above the equator. (This one was only a double.)

[IMG] Thanks. I agree. Fortunately, no one I know IRL notices so it only effects my SF cool meter. Point taken though. I kind of thought it was wrong this morning, but more so because I chose to wear a wool tie in the summer (although it barely reached 70 today). I didn't even think about the wool tie being wrong w the City suit. I will keep that in mind.

    Nice tie.

Looking good, Philip. Nice and simple.

    Thanks.

^I like this a lot as well. It appears you wanted a more casual look, but I think a textured navy tie would have been nice here.

I took the pics in my office but was on my way to the vineyard and my wife said no tie. [IMG]

    Wrinkles and all.

I see zero wrinkles on that bird. She looks perfectly taut. Smartly done on all fronts, but mainly the bird.

That being said: shirt collar is kinda funky.

+1. BB wrinkle-free is to be avoided at all cost imo.

First time in a suit for a conference.
Posting it because I'd like some inputs regarding the tie width. It's 2.75" wide. Too narrow? Or passable? What would be the acceptable width range in my case?
P.S. BB in-store tailor seemed to mess the sleeve length. Should I have them brought in about 1/4''?

Experimenting with a 7" hem on my trousers. I think it's a little bit too slim, making my size 10.5s look boatish. 8" is probably the better opening size for me.

Where do you guys find short-sleeved shirts with such narrow sleeves?

It's not the narrow sleeves silly! It's the huge biceps.

Not as happy with the pics here (and I sort of don't like the tie a whole lot), but I make do with what I've got I guess.

There is nothing wrong with your tie except the knot. Re-do it with a bit of flair and a little dimple and i am sure it will look real cool Bud.

That's a near fatal amount of both flair and dimple. What are you looking at?

Thanks guys for all the comments, nice to get such a warm welcome... [IMG]

Someone asked, the shirt is made by Schoffa, a Finnish label.

Looking good. Your coat has divots, which are a long-debated hot-button issue on this forum. Perhaps there is too much padding in the shoulder, or it needs to be slightly reduced?

No one other than us would see this issue, so it's not a real world problem. [IMG]

Thanks. I think there's maybe a little bit too much padding as you said in the shoulders.

However, I normally use that suit (/coat) only at work / office, so I let myself think that it's ok by bringing a little taste of "power dressing" to my look [IMG]
