1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Awesome. I do wish the photo quality was a bit better as you indicated also.

The jacket is actually the reason I placed myself on the dad side of the sprezz/dad spectrum, it's Orvis.

So, they're totally straight-up trousers made out of denim? Why?

(Not that I object to high-waisted denim, as my love of cowboy-cut Wranglers proves).

Event last night where I was hanging between Gulfstreams, Falcons, Maseratis and Aston Martins. A little chilly so I brought back the flannel pants and cardigan. At the bottom are snuff suede kicks.

Yeah, kinda. Custom selvedge jeans were only $70 at Luxire, and I felt like playing around with the concept of formality. Not entirely a successful experiment, but it was fun nonetheless. I don't wear the jeans often, and never with a jacket and tie, but when I wear them it's usually with a long sleeve polo and loafers.

    Should have gone for pleats.

I have never known pB to be wrong, though I disagree with him about lightweight flannel.

Contrast is always a matter of degree, of course, which is why I was at great pains to present the observation as a personal preference, not a statement of principle.

I think distance can matter, too: dark/light often remain distinguishable at distances where patterns are not.

I'm not arguing, just discussing. [IMG]

    The British are coming!

I was wondering whether someone would think of going with a hacking/shooting/Norfolk-inspired jacket for the FC. Other factors being equal, I think they have the potential to bridge the relevant gap a bit more naturally than most modern sport coats.

    Cheers,

    Ac
