I would absolutely be thrilled if WAYWRN begins poaching posters from other style forums. I'll mention it to a few posters on the Korean SF....but quite a few like their jackets short (not because it's trendy...they are self-conscious about having short legs)

first time wearing this tie but liking it more than I expected to...

KN nice job with the DFIH,. I never get mine anything like that- always come out like a silk sausage. Not that I get a lot of opportunity with a 16.5" neck.

Trying for a more SF-friendly look today.

Suit: Lab Pal Zileri
Shirt: Oxford
Tie: Rhodes & Beckett
Shoes: GG

Don't see a lot of mauve? on pink,or DMs with a suit here, but def more WAYWN

Nice Collar, who made the shirt?

+1- Zebanker excuse my generalization, but is that typical German conservative business dress, or typical Stilmagazin?

Today's attire is not my finest work - the trousers are old, the shoes are new, and I'm not entirely happy with either. The trousers need to be tapered and shortened (more work for my alterations tailor, who is off for this week and next - arghhh), and the shoes need a muting of the rather excessive patination to which they've been treated. Oh, well, the natives of Manhattan have been exposed to worse fashion offenses (as have the readers of this thread, I daresay) . . . .

Blazer, trousers, tie, cufflinks - BB
Shirt - Lewin
PS - Alain Figaret
Shoes - Magnanni for Bergdorf Goodman

Thanks to all who approved/commented on the fit; I appreciate it.
I have come back around to db suits. They do flatter my wider shoulders and minimize the beer gut I worked so hard on in college. I'm less of a fan when they are unbuttoned, but such are the saccrifices we make in life.
Butch, I'm curious: what turns you off about the tie? i will admit the stripes are a bit busy, but to my eye they are small enought to remail reasonably subtle, while also making the tie as a whole more versatile.

^^ edit: Derek: do like; fit of the jacket is superb.

What's wrong with uploading pics directly to the forum? Am I missing something?

Don´t know. On my PC the function tabs appear to be missing at the top of the reply screen, whereas on my iphone they are visible
