Those lapels used to be the wings of a 747. That being said, the OP is able to pull off the look without appearing absurd, which is quite an accomplishment.

That oversized lapel jacket looks like it needs to be let out a substantial amount...

Trying to incorporate a french blue shirt. I quite like the result. Too warm for a tie.

You're right. It's OTR and not too expensive. It's only menswear, why not have a little fun? :)

Speaking of lapels, if a jacket has narrow lapels, can a tailor make the lapels wider by some magic???

X post to FC. I'm not completely ready to let go of tweed/cashmere/flannel season, so don't be surprised if they make a return in my fits soon. But for now, I'm damn grateful for the warm sunny day. [IMG]

i often have matchiness with my tie and shoes, and i enjoy it very much. i think done the right way, it can be excellent. :)

i remember a fit by aeglus a while back that did that and i loved it. ever since then i do it myself when i can.

I enjoy it too... and I agree it can be excellent, as your fit demonstrates!

That wide lapel suitsupply suit was their attempt at mimicking Tom Ford lapels/pocket flaps. It looks pretty cool, but I wish the lapels were slightly less round. I don't think it sold very well, seen as they don't have them in thei lineup anymore.
