This is your Panta suit? Are they doing MTM or fully bespoke? I like, you went for a DB. Nice.

I wondering if dark brown shoes would be better. Just a thought.

I had just finished grading the essays my students wrote on my last course. It is quite possible the expression stemmed from that exercise...

Stichy are you all new today? That's a great way to flip the bird at Casual Friday!

    thank you kindly, gents!

ill try to reply to your questions/comments bellow:

suit (new) is indeed panta. as are the shirt (not new) and tie (new). edmorel calls it custom, between MTM and bespoke. i would call it internet bespoke. i picked the fabric, he made/cut the pattern, send it back to me basted, i returned it and he made some adjustments. he sent it back to me almost done, i sent it back and he made more adjustments, and then he sent it back finished. i love it so hard the panta suits, i could not be more happy with the two i have. i cant wait to do more!

as to the shoe comments, i agree black shoes would work great with the suit, but not with this tie or shirt or PS. would probs go with a white shirt and PS and a solid black grenadine. dark brown calf was also an option, and i think it would work just as well as the suede here, but i wanted more contrast. i think either option would be equally correct, just a matter of personal preference.

oh, evil eye is at anyone who may be passing by and judging me for taking pics for the internet.

Judging from the cool reception so far, I'm guessing this went down about as well as CD's pale blue tie fit. (Like I said, I feel your pain, bro!) I absolutely love this tie -- the color and the texture. So I would greatly appreciate any thoughts on how it could be better accompanied.

Cleav had a tie in the same range which I thought came out well. Navy blazer as your basic canvas.

I think your intuitions were right...there are too many spring/pastel colors here, and they are, I feel, incongruent with the earthy color of the coat. I'm not feeling pink and the light pastel blue together. Choose one (or a much lighter pink or perhaps pink stripes)!

Edit: pinks and browns do, I think, work well together in many contexts.

As TweedyProf suggested, I think it will work against a navy background. I also think that with very eye-catching ties a simple and assuming shirt and square are best.
Great shoes, though. @Cotton Dockers outfit yesterday is a great example.

textured purple/gray also works really well imho as a jacket for a teal tie like that. i think though that be it shirt or jacket, having some blue in there is definitely the way to go. plus one on simple shirt and PS suggestion.

and now you know! i believe its a H&S wool/cashmere fabric.

a dank, B. if the weather stays cool enough for me to continue wearing it, you will see it with plenty of other ties in the upcoming weeks.
