Yep - the cold air from Canada kept the snow south of the metro NYC area, pushing it to Balmer and Philly.

No offence but (like lots of American ideas about Ireland and St Patrick's Day) that's nonsense. St Patrick is the patron saint of both Irish Catholics and Irish Protestants. For instance the red cross in the Union Jack is the cross of St Patrick. I know Ireland and our crazy history is confusing but just a little bit of knowledge would be good. :nodding:

AAS - I wear black-watch here in Dublin all the time and no one bats an eyelid so thumbs up from this Paddy to your Patrick's Day outfit.

General question here. I love everything about the look but is the overcoat considered a little short in the sleeves or is showing this much shirt/suit from underneath ok.

A little OT, but how is that book? I love Gardiner's Bach performances and his documentary for the BBC was great...

Your fit is first class too!

    Thanks!

As for the book, it is a meticulous read. Gardiner is ultra thorough in supporting his assertions and discoveries. After I finish a chapter, I have to go back and read it again--taking the time to listen to the many musical references, by Bach and others, to get the full meaning of what Gardiner is saying. He is dispelling many beloved myths and legends about Bach's personal life and education. Absolutely fascinating.

Without exception, the Dubliners I know avoid the St Patrick's Day festivities like the plague.

Dublin has some of the world’s greatest pubs, and every year there are 364 better days to enjoy them.

    Cheers,

    Ac
