1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Nice. I'll be wearing my suit again this week. I only threw it on for 10 minutes to snap a picture...was a wee bit excited.

Denim and SC: a hard look to pull off and you've done it well. To quote our friend @Gianni Cerutti , "compliments!" [IMG]

Butler, that is one of the best suits I have seen this year! Are you red headed per chance? Since this palette works so well for you.

With due respect Hirsh, if you post fits on this thread, they will be commented upon. If the fits do not meet with WAYWRN's standards, the comments will be harsh. Furthermore, none of your fits are even remotely within the ambit of "men's classic" - indeed your latest effort appears to be a woman's outfit. (Note that I am making no assumption about your actual gender.)

Some of us may choose not to comment. Others may choose to "block" you. But there will always be people on this site who will neither block, nor remain silent. So it's really rather simple: if you don't like having your feelings hurt, then don't post inappropriate fits on this thread.

    Hope this helps.

Outstanding. What I particularly like is the way the small dots on the tie reference the small dots on the shirt, without causing a "pattern clash". There's also a connection with the larger-scale dots on the pocket square - again with no clash.

It's just really, really well done, and I doff my hat in your general direction.

Details on the actual elements of this fit? The suit is beautiful.

Nobody is insulting you, they are just justifiably confused. I think it is very cool when women dress in classic menswear, or at least something heavily derived from it. But it needs to be clearly in the realm of classic menswear to be appropriate for this thread. Your previous posts would probably fit in MC Casual; this thread is pretty dedicated to fits with at least a jacket/blazer, though the occasional cardigan is appropriate as well. If you have an outfit somewhere along these lines, you are more than welcome to post it here.

Your most recent picture didn't feature what you were wearing at all, which is perplexing--hence people asking why you were posting here. I guarantee you if I post just a head shot and a list of what I was wearing, I'd be met with similar "what the hell you think you're doing Claghorn?" type comments.

    I'm sorry

The reason I only posted a head and shoulders pic is that I was wearing jeans, which I felt inappropriate for CM!

I'm currently having a Savile Row tailor make me a pair of very expensive fully bespoke Japanese Selvedge denim (from a top mill) jeans, complete with black alligator patch and blue diamond white gold handmade bespoke button.

Can I post these on CM when they're ready please?

    They're Definitely not SW!!!:)

To be honest Hirsh, jeans are probably not the way to go either, at least when you're starting out on this thread. (Look at me, acting as Thread Gauleiter after nine months of indifferent fits and snail's-pace improvement. Nevertheless...)

OTOH if you match the jeans with a rockin' jacket/tie/shirt/PS combo, that could be very cool.

Actually I match my jeans with handmade Anna Matuozzo bespoke double cuff shirts with diamond cufflinks, bespoke Spanish nappa leather jackets and bespoke Lobb of St.James (the real Lobb at £££££s, not rtw) shoes or boots!

    Does that count???

I'm neither fully SW and D nor fully CM, but the people are more civilised on CM, although very friendly on SW and D as well, so I post on both!!!:):)
