First wearing of new Suitsupply jacket, for a little light work on a Saturday. Good stuff for RTW at that price IMO. Something with a bit of a different cut for my summer wardrobe, anyway:

Not sure what to think of this. Looks a bit small

It certainly would. I don't wear this tie anymore because I don't really have anything that works well with it. If it wasn't for the challenge... :p

This blazer is going to become a suit soon, though. Gonna get matching trousers made in an attempt to mitigate the problem with long front balance causing the quarters to be excessively open.

Or you could just get the balance fixed. It hardworking but can be done. I would use the purchase of the trousers to convince the tailor to do it.

So it's actually possible to shorten the fronts from the top on a finished garment?

Seems like more work than he would be willing to do, but I might try. He's probably gonna tell me it's not possible. But even though next commissions will (suppossedly) be fixed, it would be nice if I could get this one fixed too, because I like how the top half looks. Thanks for the suggestion

Love this tie, stitchy.  Where's it from?
As you can tell, I'm way behind on this thread, so if it already was asked and answered I apologize...

Yep it's possible, you may need a new collar putting on but since he can get the cloth for new trousers......

If its a little bit out you could just cut the front of the coat at the bottom and maybe take in the hips which would hide some of the symptoms of the balance being out.

Car studio presents: The Tie (R) - horror

This is dedicated especially to Mr SugarButch; socks chosen to be offensive AND matchy, in his sole honour (but at least the buttonholes are the right colour on this one).

I would have worn this for the Friday Challenge, but Friday and Saturday are the weekend, and although I frequently wear a jacket and tie anyway just for the heck of it (or for a Challenge), it wasn't practical this time. So I went "loud tie" today instead, just to show (im)moral support. Anyway, the Challenge didn't need another also-ran.

I've also discovered that something has splashed on my lapel. Probably wouldn't have, had I not taken these pics. Thanks, SF...
