There's a lot of fun trying to happen at once, there, Koelner! But it kind of works in a very in-your-face kind of way. The tie looks a touch out of place maybe. But in their own waspish way, others are giving good advice and much more will follow!

Enjoying the first sunny days in Germany after 4 weeks of rainfall.

The fit of the items is pretty good. I don't mind a strong shoulder. I think this whole thing would look better if the lapel gorge was higher. The jacket looks fairly dated because of the lapels. I also think the outfit would look better with a navy jacket. The pink and red are hard to pull off together. A navy jacket would ground the colors better than the tan. Nice shoes, socks, pocket square and watch by the way.

Thanks. I am started to change my wardrobe 4-5 month ago. Before that time I was wearing dark blue, grey or charcoal fused suits for work with mostly light blue shirts and bad shoes. Casual was most times a shirt with jeans or cloth trousers, if its was colder most time some knittwear from paul & shark.
So I started posting outfits in the german stylemagazin.com to improve my style for both business and casual. I make some good ebay snappers get some really good stuff from other members of stilmagazin.com (e.g. a kiton suit, some good sport coats).
So now I am in a fase where I try something and manytimes I tried too much. Sport coats is from pal zileri and I think it´s not that old (maybe 5 - 10years), but I can be wrong. So be a little bit friendly with me and I a excuse for my english in advance.

then u gotta try fresco or one of the other loose weaves if u haven't already. Guarantee you'll love it. or 'cool wool' i.e. really light guage < * oz I jus gotta suit in a siena cool wool and it's wearable anytime. nice post in the Challenge BTW

Thanks. Yeah I should try fresco, but I haven't found any affordable tailors in my area carrying Minnis cloth, and the H&S CrispAire books don't have fresco anymore. The plain weave, lighter weight CrispAire makes nice summer trousers, though.

This is actually perfect (minus the hat). No tie was exactly correct and the shoes add just the right amount of "FU, I'm rich" to go with the casual vibe of the rest of the outfit. The posts that I've seen you make, a lot of people here can learn from. You never over do it (the blackwatch debacle notwithstanding) and you have just the right amount of obviously caring about clothes but wearing it like you don't. The fact that you are a teacher is rather mind boggling.

Well I haven't really seen actual Minnis fresco, but I thought it was a rather open weave? Everything I have seen in the CrispAire books seems to be a tightly woven plain/panama weave, although quite lightweight. The weave in my CrispAire trousers doesn't look like close-up pictures of Minnis fresco, really. I'm puzzled now
