1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Dude, how's he to know?

I think we need to be better at welcoming new posters here.

I'm new here myself and totally open to whomever, but waltzing in and saying the regs are making bitchy comments isn't much of a nice entrance either.

Derek, your tie and PS are too matchy. But you are beautiful. And I am pleased to see you.

In the Challenge thread I promised Stitchy a plain navy herringbone tie and a pink gingham shirt. Here they are. But on grey instead of blue, which is nicer I think.

I think the shoes are a bit casual and summery perhaps- the natural welt and light coloured laces, as much as the colour and style - and a contrast between PS and tie is my preference. But that's very tasteful overall. I really like the cloth of that suit, and the buttons too.

Very nice look overall, I agree! I'm by no means an expert, but I think that a jacket with more natural shoulders would look less box-y, and also a lower button stance would flatter you more.

Hard to see much in terms of colours and fit since the lighting is rather poor, but I would suggest a wider tie (to match lapels on the jacket) and a shirt collar where the points are longer so that they extend under said lapels......

The first working day of a four-day week, and 4-6" of snow are predicted to fall by tomorrow morning, accompanied by much colder temperatures. Today's attire reflects this - raincoat, and beater shoes (with rubber overshoes packed for later).

For the record, I'll be moving, temporarily, to another weather pattern in about a week - will be in central London from the 30th of January through February 2nd, then five nights in Marrakesh - a whole new adventure.

    Suit - New & Lingwood
    Shirt - Lewin
    Tie - BB
    Cufflinks - Turnbull & Asser
    PS - PRL
    Braces - Lewin
    Shoes - Mezlan
    Raincoat - Burberry
    Scarf - Johnstons
    Hat - Weatherproof
