1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

jungle, i think a more blue shirt, as opposed to the slightly muted/drab one you have on, would really improve that combo. otherwise nice. also, i highly support waiting to wear PSs until you have a strong hold on shirt/tie/jacket pairings first.

My camera is overexposing in my office fluorescent lighting. The shirt isn't dark but I don't think it's too muted. I agree about the PSr's, I have a few but I'm still playing around with what fold I like as well as what ones to wear.

Should have used the proper camera for this navy navy combo, but this is what I had time for.

Hey, where did the PS go?

Question for you all.....when you are sitting with an unbutton jacket, as I have been in my last few photos, do your lapels get wavy like you see here? And do you care? Mine do this on all my jackets, and always have, and for some reason it bugs me a little.

More contrasting (and maybe more a bit formal; are those chinos?) trousers and this would be a great colour combo. Top half is nice; shirt collar could do with being a bit wider/longer so the points are out of sight.... actually a pale blue oxford fabric shirt might be a good choice, if you wanted to keep those trousers.

Nothing you haven't seen many times already this winter; it's kind of my default/unthinking outfit:

I don't want to highjack this thread (which has been one of my favourites for some time now), but in the last couple of days there have been a lot of posts here commenting on photograph quality, so I'm emboldened to ask something I've wanted to ask for some time now:

Does SF anywhere have a thread, tutorial, or other document devoted to photographing oneself for purposes such as this thread? I swear I've done the whole search thing and have come up dry.

    Many thanks.

    Cheers,

    Ac

cool defo looks beter there, but i was thinking closer to what SB has, something a wee bit more saturated. would provide some more contrast i think and pretty up the picture. just my opinion.

Thanks! It's second-hand Polo Ralph Lauren. Nothing done other than taking up the sleeves and pants.

I second the fit praise, SB. I think the balance of everything is perfect...looks similar to what I shoot for, but rarely achieve. I have a few that fit me that well and I am to the point where I decided to have them replicated by some AVs. Well done, sir... love the bow tie.

Pants look great! Much improved fits since you first started.

Yes, they are chinos (and the contrast could indeed be greater). It was warm yesterday and the rest of my warm weather clothing is packed away, Need to invest in some 4-season wool beige/khaki/tan/pants.

Another warm one, trying my new Drake's square out today:

some people are lucky that way. i find RL to be all over the map with their cuts. some of their stuff fits me great and some is horrible on me, even within the same line.
