You might be able to keep 10cm if you raise the gorge a bit, I like wide lapels but I don't like when they go pass the center of the chest. Two things you can do are to have a slightly extended shoulder and raised gorge and make the lapel 10 cm. If you want narrower, maybe stick to 9.5 cm and that should work just fine.

Shoulders are extended already... might be able to extend them just a wee bit more. Next jacket is probably going to be bespoke so it will be easier to adjust

It is April the 28th, and still, it is cold enough to wear this! It seems as if we are granted just one day of spring per week. This is an old photo of what I wore this morning.

Don't worry my friend, the UK is just the same. And I am sure Hong Kong is already good for breaking out heavy linens.

If shoulders already extended then there is no need for more extension, it looks good as is. Don't mess with what's good, you can change it to true 3 button and keep the lapel width at 10 cm, that and a higher gorge should make for a balanced look. Lapels do look a bit dramatic on this coat.

More vintage: A 3-p-suit from the 40´s from Torn-kläder in Södertälje.

Good evening!
That is a terrific suit. It just goes to show that good tailoring and tasteful style lasts a lot longer than simple fashion trends. Too bad I'll never be able to wear a vintage suit like that (as I'm 6'6").
