Sorry I didn't take a full photo today, light was too crappy. I'll try and do that the next time that jacket and those trousers are worn together....

Caught up with my photographer just before the sun had set. It seems I may be able to keep getting some photos but they will all probably be lower light. I apologize for the poor quality. Shirt has navy and light blue stripes.

Brand new tie. My first crunchy silk knit. I chose it first because I wanted to wear it! I chose the shirt next. I knew I wanted to wear a very light colored shirt with this tie. With a solid tie I figured a patterned shirt would be nice. This one is mostly white fulfilling the lighter requirement, but also has light blue vertical stripes. I chose the jacket next. I always have liked the look of a white shirt below a navy jacket so the navy SC seemed the logical choice. Plus, the silk tie and semi-spread collar broadcloth seemed decidedly more "city" causing me to steer clear of tweedish jackets. I put on the same pants I wore yesterday because gray and navy are best friends. I reached for my dark brown monkstraps, but decided on these black brogued bals last minute. I decided to leave brown entirely out of the palette, keeping the look a little more congruous. Finally I added the square. The colors matched the shirt well.

From Monday. Double four-in-hand with an unintentional triple dimple. I got the shoes stretched and they fit much better.

Glad to hear it! I was inspired by one Detective William Murdoch of the Toronto Constabulary. Got it in black so I can also wear it with Black Tie. I like it so much I am considering one in another colour, though I am also after a Lord's Hat.

Agree with Stitchy on that tie. I love the socks, too. I actually saw the detail pics first, and my initial thought was that the socks and shirt were not really for winter, but the whole thing together really works.

I have two gingham shirts I love, both white one with yellow gingha, and the other sky blue. Seeing this, I may have to look for some darker colours and try to extend the season into fall. It's the cardigan that really pulls your whole fit together - and into December -- imo. Skillfully executed.

From today. New PRL grenadine tie. I think a solid navy may have been better. Red silk knots. Good night.

^Wouldn't wear that coat myself but it looks pretty solid. I think the tie works well.
