1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Standard suggestions are Epaulet Walts and Howard Yount trousers, for value and quality. I have one of each and like the fit, though for me, HY fit more cleanly in the back.. They are often sub$200, but you can get them for less during sales or in the B&S thread (as I have been able to do...some HY trousers were posted there recently). The Donegal Tweed trousers at HY look quite nice (I think there is an orange/brown of the same fabric at Epaulet).

I would avoid the charcoal blazer as it looks like a suit jacket and is tough to pair. Stock up on navy, then think of something in the brown family. I wish I could follow my own advice.

Not that this has any chance of beating Roycru, but fair isle (sweater) on fair isle (tie):

Realized that this jacket will not work well with a sweater underneath, but it's new so I wanted to give it a shot.

    Thanks!

Now if any of you happen upon a 38R while browsing auctions online etc, send a link my way! :)

I've been stalking spoo's and wes' listings hoping that something in my price range pops up.

Now that you have had the experience of wearing this splendid coat for a couple of months, any further thoughts? I assume that temperatures in Milano are dropping. How is the coat doing in terms of providing protection and warmth?

Yes, it' about 0-5°C here (30-40 F). For the moment it's still doing its work, I just added a pair of cashmere/leather gloves and a wool scarf to the outfit. On very cold days I added one cashmere sweater as well. It's definitely very versatile. A couple of weeks ago I had to stay about 2/3 hours outdoor, at a temperature of 25 F and wearing the coat + a cashmere SC + a cashmere/wool sweater I had no problems at all.

On the other hand, one button fell off (the lower-right one, which I don't even use), and another one seemed very loose as well. I went to the store and they fixed it for free, but if you're gonna order it online I would totally double-check and, if needed, reinforce them.

Also, it might have been initially mislabeled, since the website instead of saying "wool camel silk" is now saying "wool hemp silk", I'm not sure about which one is the correct one. (CA might be Camel but also Canapa, which is Italian for hemp).
