Thrifted suit, wide lapels but I think they look ok, waist on the pants need letting out... A lot. Quite a wide leg on the trousers, over 9".f I had these tapered to around 8" would it throw the balance of the suit off with the wide lapels? [IMG]

Those lapels aren't so wide you'd have to worry about a slim leg messing with things too much. That said, I'd be worried about your trousers being too narrow for your shoe size in that case. Hard to judge with that pose.

I like the look of the trousers, but top half feels like too much solid for such a strong pattern on the trousers. Mind you, this is the challenge that makes patterned trousers tough to wear.

Best tie for the suit you've shown us so far. Dig it. I take it you're no longer having to do that gig that required super-conservative stuff all the time!

Okay, I guess summer is officially over. Pretty cool this morning so I broke out the flannel today.

Suit is a light brown flannel by Calvin Klein collection
    Tie is wool by Tombolini
    Suede loafer by Moreschi

End of the day wrinkles. An old Brooks Bros tie and PS square that I forgot that I had.

@ ebonyman: Is there no breast pocket on that suit ? Maybe you should consider another colour/texture tie. I find the suit and tie too similar. Overall a nice look though :)

Thanks! Yep, but I have to go back in a year. So I'm using this year to wear as many bold and crazy outfits as possible!

Actually there is a breast pocket. Crappy phone camera isn't great for picking up detail. Hmmm, I actually liked the fact that the tie was similar texture as the suit but I appreciate your feedback. The shirt is actually a thin blue stripe. The tie is blue and brown. colors are seriously washed out by camera.

It feels like the photographic equivalent of typing in all caps. I'm a quieter guy than that.

Ebony, I like the pattern and styling on the Rubinacci best. Patch pockets, baby!

Caustic, it was pretty cool today in NYC so it's certainly chilly enough for it. With all the flannels that broke out last week, I don't see an issue with corduroy.

AAS, I like your fit bro but was thinking a "slim" cut chino would look even better on you.

Assuming the weather is appropriate, nether do I. Still in the 70s here in the Ville, so I wont be wearing it just yet.

I guess I should point out that this is actually sort of a SC/outerwear hybrid. Anyone familiar with the Corneliani "CC Collection"?

I'll give it a go the next time I wear the jacket. The jacket is more on the relaxed side in terms of fit so I figured I'd go relaxed with the pants too.

Here's an upper body shot of the jacket for reference. The button stance is quite high and the right shoulder is a bit wonky.

Yup, I see what you mean. That's rather odd! the left shoulder looks pretty much perfect. Things like this can be so frustrating. An otherwise nice item that you have to have expensive tailoring done on to make it just right. Some items just aren't worth the investment in my closet so they get relagated to weekend "errand wear".
