I also think the pink tie is much better than the blue, otherwise you will just have to go tie hunting... good excuse if you ask me [IMG]

I like the color of that one, but I think the pattern is where I get stuck. It has like a Chanel suit vibe (could be really cool with a tan suit), and the plaid-on-plaid doesn't work for me. What about a navy dot? Not a pindot, but a Churchill or larger? You could also do a burgundy on that. Non-wedding Macclesfield-ish woven ties don't get much love on here (I'm not such a big fan myself), but I think this could be the place for one. A bolder printed neat could be great, very Armoury-ish, and an Hermes print could be very elegant.

I think I prefer that suit with the blue shoes. Burgundy would be cool, too.

Today's effort. Would seriously have prefered jeans and sneakers today, as formal shoes arenĀ“t what your feet want the day after running a marathon...

Thanks for the suggestions, really appreciate it. I'm not a big fan of very large dot ties, but Macclesfield ties can be great! How about this tie (it complements the purple lining of the suit):

I've been looking into getting these loafers, they would be perfect for this suit:

I think both of those are excellent choices. I like the herringbone shirt with that, too.

The tie is surprisingly good with the suit, by far the best of the ones you've shown here recently. Loafers with a suit? :paranoia:
Great look Stitch, really like the blue colour of the suit. Is that, by any chance, a black grenadine from Shibumi?

Happy Monday, gents. One more round of thanks for the thumbs I got last week, and the votes on the contest (I was lucky to get any, given the competition!) [IMG]

EDIT: Oh, Derek: LOVING the patterned trou. With the mercury dropping, I'm planning at least one odd trou fit this week. Can't wait.

Yeah, I was surprised by how well it works as well. I wear loafers with everything. Most of my suits are casual suits anyway.

All nice and potentially deployable to great effect. I like the second one best. But it's the fit that matters, so I think it would be easier to comment effectively with them on.

Thanks guys! I don't see purple on here often, but it goes to show that every color has its place in menswear.
