1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I do that, too. It is how I was taught using a program called, "All The Write Type" in elementary school.

I always thought it was because most cellphone programs put the period in if you hit two spaces. I've never ever heard that two spaces was correct. So not every second grader knows this. A quick search gives you a variety of "Don't do it" and "It's aesthetically pleasing to do so" responses.

    I like this one:

    http://www.writersdigest.com/online-editor/how-many-spaces-after-a-period

We're not on typewriters, we're on computers. So one space works.

Moving on. This is what I'm wearing today. I would like your feedback as always. And most importantly, let me know what you would have done differently. Shirt, jacket, and pants are from Uniqlo. Bow tie and pocket square are from the Tie Bar.

One of your more subtle fits. I like it. At first glance, it's classic. At second, you notice your own style.

I have nothing against that fit except for the bowtie (personal hate for them) and the square.

One of your best fits imho, aas. I really dislike the shoes & the bowtie, but the rest & the fit is nice.

It took me about two weeks to break the habit. I was taught to double space, but now most editors will go through manuscripts and single space everything (at least a lot of academic journals do) because modern word processors account for the initial need for double spacing already. I think style guides now prescribe the N space over the M space as well.

Lighter shirt. Longer pants. Hank stuffed farther into the pocket. (Now featuring double spaces after periods for the benefit of Clapey. )
