@ Pingson - Way to make a return to work, very elegant!

@ Sander - You two gentlemen of Shibumi looks classy as always!

@ Lilac - I like that first outfit, the top part of the second one needs a little color IMHO.

It will be hot (though happily not humid) today in NYC, and I find myself needing to be in a suit (albeit seersucker), for the annual Garden Party at the Frick Collection, a fund raiser which people attend to see and to be seen, and, with luck, photographed by Bill Cunningham of the New York Times. (However I am dressed, there is no danger that I will make the Style section of the Sunday NY Times - only recognized members of society, or patrons of the Frick much higher on the food chain than myself show up there.)

But, as a dress extra in this evening's comedy, I guess I'll pass.

Very nice shirt and shoes and I love the socks! I prefer "hat off" but that's just me.

Great contributions from Shibumi guys to StyFo - both the product and pictures.

    Nice - congrats!

Pingson, that is a terrific look - I might shorten the trousers a smidgen, but that is picking nits.

Crusty - love the look - way to bring the south up north.

I have said something similar in the past. I don't subscribe to the categorical orthodoxy re gray and/or POW odd jackets.

That's good. I think grey herringbones and donegals work pretty well.

And I have no problems with POW odd jackets as long as the checks are bold enough. They were not on your pic, so I wondered... [IMG]

BTW, it isn't an odd jacket, right? [IMG]

Nice. Do you do something for a living other than sell Shibumi goods?

For being forced into a combination, it's a very nice one. It took me a lot longer than I'd like to admit to realise that I need to remove my jacket before playing with or feeding my daughter. Entirely too many trips to the cleaners.
    :fonz:
Clag, I like the colours and overall combination. The collar seems to be a bit big though, based on the overlap at the knot. Could just be me though.
    That's a very strong start.
I really like this, Pingson. Very nicely combined, and I like the pocket square's colour, close, but not too matchy or clashing. Do you have a photo of the entire square? I'd like to see the rest of it, not just the puff.
    Really liking the seersucker, Crusty.

Thanks. I agree that they could be just a tad bit shorter, but being rather tall I rather err on the side of slightly too long trousers than slightly too short - that just looks real awkward on me..

Thanks. Here's a photo I just snapped (crappy lighting :embar:). It's an old silk/wool square from Drake's

Allegory: A story, poem, or picture that can be interpreted to reveal a hidden meaning, typically a moral or political one.

    ------

I think my earlier question got lost in the mix: Do the "Rules" permit pairing seersucker as an odd (specifically as an odd jacket, as Diaz did so ably in two of his last few fits)?

Will from ASW does it well (the seersucker odd jacket thing) [IMG]

I don't think it's uncommon at all to wear seersucker as an odd jacket or odd trousers. DB is not as frequent, though.

jcmeyer, Nice tie, nice (if drab!) colour palette, good fit. I'm not feeling the pinstripe trousers worn as odd trousers here - pinstripes work a lot better as part of a suit. Also, the pocket square is too matchy with the tie and looks odd.

I think they do, mostly because I do it.

Pingson: Thank you, sir. Looks good. :fonz:

Yep! Agree on the pants; thought I might get away with the square :)

Color palate matches the morning! Heading to the burbs now though where it will no doubt be too warm for most of it.

    Thanks for the feedback.
