lol, it was not intentional, but a few hours ago i looked at myself and said, man, i look like a politician, except i dont look cheesy. :)

I think you'll find that pink - brown isn't an especially useful color combination.

    I don't think so.

Its not like the coat splits open directly under the buttoning point (well, not when the jacket fits anyway). There should still be overlaping fabric for at least a few inches before the quarters start to open. If you are suggesting the buttoning point within maybe 3 or 4 inches of the top of the pants, fine, but within like an inch is too low, imho.

What about higher rise trousers instead of an excessively low button stance?

Green tie for prosperity on election day. Don't forget to vote.

Sorry for the crappy posing and quick/sloppy afternoon shots. Just doing this in a hurry.

    Charles Tyrwhitt tailored fit shirt.
Kiton tie (thank you Top Shelf).
    Calvin Klein navy pants.
Allen Edmonds McAllister walnut shoes / AE belt.
    Marc New York jacket (Moores).

Wondered what the thoughts were on colour combo. Most people around the office were complimentary, a couple felt there were too many things going on.
I wouldn't generally have put the jacket on, but it was cold this morning.

    Opinions appreciated.

    Thanks!

Jacket sleeve got caught up, but I'm sure no-one would have said anything.

That's a helluva difficult tie to pair with anything. I don't like it in that combo, but I won't recommend you to burn it. Try it again come summer...

And despite a growing navy pants consensus, Manton's insight applies here as well: gray flannels would work better.

That tie may work in a groooooovy 70s-inspired outfit, but its context here is much too "Man in the Gray Flannel Suit".
