I just took a quick journey through the SW&D WAYWT thread...strange, strange place. A lot of people have bedrooms in what looks to be their parents' house. A number of people in their 30s dressing like they were in their early 20s. Also, they were definitely more generous with the likes (some people have 25+), so either more people read that thread, people over there love the quid pro quo circle jerk, or people here are bigger jerks have more discriminating taste.

Seriously...is that side of the forum more popular? I know our side has more posts, but I figure that might be because it's older.

Spoo, I wish you had chosen something other than chinos for this. IMO, they just don't go with the rest of what you got going on.

i imagine the SWD is a younger crowd, more techy, and more likely to use the "like" function than MCers. not to mention, iirc, they have a pic only WAYWRN, and a separate discussion thread. i think that pic only thread probably lends to a lot of "liking," absent the ability to post comments.

i almost said that, but i think his chinokhakis are dressy enough, that they are consistent with the outfit. especially considering what i feel is a more relaxed looking SC.

IIRC our side isn't "older" the great schism just makes it look that way. The WAYWT were commingled back in the day.

That jacket needs to be anchored by some pants with gumption. A flannel. A beefy twill. Sumpin'.

    Agreed. Very good call.

    Flannel, cavalry twill wool.

Youre both right. The pants weren't the right call with the top. The shirt was a liiiiitttle dressier than it should have been, but the cloth isnt superfine, its a little textured, so its passable I think.

As far as my recent "fascination" with J Crew pants, Flying Monkey - they look awesome on me. Ive got 2 Pantas and a bunch of Kent Wangs, Cornelianis etc in alteration, so until my other $1800 of pants come back, my $70 J Crews will do just fine.
