Damn, BigA. That sucks. I hope you got the good painkillers.

re f'length pictures, they're nice to have if taken properly, but if blurry or too dark, then not worth the effort. I've probably posted all of my suits/jackets in f'length images at some point or another, so I'm really more interested in feedback on the combinations. Plus, there's that vanity thing that Señor Crusty mentioned.

Anyway, here's a nearly f'length of yesterday's outfit, complete with turtled shirt cuffs and inadvertently tucked pocket flap:

Extremely smart, considering there's 7 or 8 colours in play.

    Are you wearing no socks?

another suit fit from the shah ! i ended originally wore it with the shirt (extra long, hidden button placket) untucked and with only top button closed on jacket but felt this changed the silhouette a bit

Having lurked here for quite a while and witnessed the shitstorm created by your original Yohji fit pic, I have to say that I appreciate the compromise you've made with this one. I vehemently disagree with some of your opinions on style, but if we still fail to see eye to eye here, I may at least be staring at your forehead. That being said, I would never suggest that my thoughts here be more to you than the musings of an internet stranger, so I'm more than willing to settle at this and say, "lookin' good."

In a related story, I had no idea who the hell Yohji Yamamoto was until you started posting pics, but I recently stumbled upon a boutique of his in downtown La Jolla, near San Diego, and thought to myself, "He is real!" It was actually quite interesting to see it nestled amongst the Brooks Brothers, Jos. A Bank, and Ralph Lauren stores that have set the tone for the area.

thanks for the kind words ! i was surprised myself how "conservative" this turned out (by my skewed definition, of course).
if Yohji got on your radar through my posts then I've accomplished something :D

just heads up, the store you saw was the Y-3 line, a collaboration with Adidas which as far as I know Yohji himself has little or even nothing to do with in terms of designs, fabrics, etc. Some of the runway presentations actually look quite nice though none of theinteresting pieces ever make it to stores that I've seen. if you find yourself in japan, london or paris with free time you can visit the actual Yohji boutiques.
