Do not want brown (?) tie and black shoes. Shirt and suit look fresh--makes for a more relaxed feel for you. :)

Holdfast - your suit may be old, but from here it looks fine!

Fantastic jacket! :D Hem trousers, get sleeves shortened a tad, and burn tie--seriously, why do those types of tie even get made?

    Pretty cool looking DB! [IMG]
I think DBs look good when they're shorter than normal jackets.
You could give SpooPoker a run for his money with that fit! [IMG]

Suit is brown, tie is brown. and shoes are dark brown - no black in this fit (I may go off the sartorial rails periodically, but not that badly!).

Otherwise, thanks - the suit/shirt combo was an experiment from which I liked the results, and the tie balanced things out nicely.

Thanks, Doc. It's a second-hand Lanvin I picked up last year, so I can't be sure of the vintage. The brass buttons are a bit outside my wheelhouse (and they're noisy!), but I dig the kooky pockets.

Damn SB, I wish my jackets fit as well as yours. I specially like how the hem is parallel to the ground on all of your jackets, something I can't get right except on DBs.

That jacket and tie are gorgeous, although the jacket's sleeves need lengthening ideally.

I'm hoping to pick up a Soho suit next week and this gives me a boost of confidence!

That jacket is about 1" too short (in body and sleeve). Also, looks a bit tight. PS pattern is bit matchy-matchy, but those points aside, the look is fantastic! :)

Thanks for the comments and thumbs. RDiaz, I think my posture roughly matches the generic cut of RTW suits. I certainly don't do anything special to achieve that effect. Now, if I could just get them all to make a semi-short between Short and Regular, I'd be set.

Collar looks good-- but seems better paired with a suit? Could just be more Skyfall imprinted on my brain.

I like tab collar's a lot. This collar appears to need a 1cm tie space. Is it a button tab or snap tab?
