Ok, one more time:
Nice PS work, though.
On my way to NY.
I still love this tweed, but I also still think it doesn't work as a 2-piece and because of the length, I think it needs a tie rather than a cravat to help balance the whole thing. But that is just a personal view.
Sorry, I would like to say something nice but this is awful. Golf clothes in general are a style vacuum and I'm afraid you aren't doing much to persuade me otherwise. The collars outide the sweater look terrible, everything looks cheap and the fedora is just totally out of context. I am certainly not trying to be rude and I am sure you're a great guy, but none of this works at all.
I'm still laughing at Vovan and effortlessgent... but in the meantime I will provide some comedy of my own in the form of today's fit.
deets: vintage 1960s Harris Tweed jacket, J-Crew blue micro-Gingham shirt (short collars, I know but it goes with the early 60s feel, and the sleeves are about 0.5" too long), and another very thick vintage 1960s French tie (made from Scottish wool). Vintage Skinger tie-bar and university pin. Worn with thick dark green cords - which are meant to just hint at picking up the green-turquoise stripe in the jacket - and C&J dark brown monks (again).
Were you to own such a leather suit, oh, Spoo-meister, it would not be the only thing needing to go back into the closet.
Were I to own such a leather suit, the only way one could distinguish me from a Chesterfield sofa would be my lack of button tufting.
who needs Foo and Manton when we have Vovan and Mimo?
A leather vest or a well-cut leather coat, with tweed for example, could be cool albeit in a slightly overly masculine or retro way.
But everything leather just says 'serial killer' or 'fetishist'.
Full quote for awesomeness. Genuinely LOL funny.
On your way to the gay parade?
I think a leather suit would only be appropriate if:
1. You're a rockstar
this says both.
Sorry about the crappy phone camera quality. I need a new tripod.
Suit: Sartoria Partenopea
Shoes: PRL suede longwings
Watch: JLC Reverso Duo Day-Night LE
Good to see you, Mike!
