1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

It doesn't look good. I have a jacket I bought at Goodwill that's kind of like that.

I like this, but you need longer collar points (they should be hidden by the lapel) and possibly a bit more spread (hard to tell without a full-body shot).
Tie knot is a hair too big and hanky looks a bit bulbous (I would consider having a tailor cut it down).
Belt showing is no bueno, and the tie and hanky combo doesn't work. Actually, the hanky doesn't work full stop. But the tie might -- in a different setting.
    Very sharp.
The hanky would meld much better with the other stuff if you folded away the two "black" points, but the coat + shirt + tie combination is splendid.
    Nice trad look.
Why do you put your glasses in the breast pocket? Looks awfully precious. The hanky should also slant in the other direction (that is to say, it should slope downward from the armscye). But very good nonetheless.
    Excellent.
Much too busy. Rethink and try again.
    Love this. Very Rive Gauche.
    Another simple, excellent look.
And another overwrought outfit. Remove the cardigan and the hanky, and get back to us.

Not for any aesthetic reason, but, as I said, I was wearing them then I put them in my pocket! I, also, noted the PS fail (jus' sayin'). [IMG] Thanks! [IMG]

I think it's a great personal detail. It brings your style to life. I see the man, not the clothes.

It makes me laugh all this 'precious' and 'affected' talk about glasses and lapel pins, etc. I mean, #firstworldproblems. I am far more concerned with coherent colour combinations; I see so many awful PS choices (neon/wrong colour/etc.) in SF (sorry, Mr. High & Mighty here).

    Moooooi?

There's no need to be so mean-spirited. Fashion is about bringing different perspectives to the table. You may not like my style, but we do agree on the tie you posted in that other thread! I'm sorry if I offended you with relating it to designers you don't like. We all see inspiration a little differently, that's all.

Style would be so boring if people didn't let themselves crawl out of their shells!

I share your priorities, but looking like you've put too much thought into your dress is a real boner killer*, even if it's obviously a venial sin in the grand scheme of things.

    * Dandys -- real dandys -- excluded.

sugarbutch... your post is a bit ironic about being petty ...
you're taking a jab at foo out of nowhere
sure, he's rubbed a lot of people the wrong way .. but your response today to his post is unwarranted

but you're ignoring the biggest concern, whether the jacket fits or not

Much, much better. This is a school-book example of the merits of tailoring. Just tuck that hanky in a little and you're golden.
