It's cold today in here, cold for us is something lower than 10°C and right now there are 7°C that is 44°F if I'm not wrong. But this is cold for us... so I had to take out the coat again.

A less structured jacket and/or tie would work better.

Just checking in with some horribly crappy iPhone photos. Today I was actually in town, and I wore brown, so I assume I was breaking some kind of rule......

We both obviously got the memo about "brown glen plaid suit, brown semi-brogues, and blue shirt" for today :nodding:

A more casual tie/shirt combo would keep the fit more stylistically consistent, though I understand entirely needing a dash of strong color (from the tie) to balance the strong blue of the jacket. That being said, the pieces themselves are excellent, and overall, everyone's "failures" should look as good as yours.

My first post on styleforum! Been lurking here since last year. I think the buttoning point is too high, but I like the jacket anyway.

^ you would definitely benefit from stronger shoulders and a buttoning point a solid 2" lower. As it is now, you look a bit pear-shaped. The sleeves on both your shirt and jacket seem about an inch short as well.

    Welcome to the forum.

I don't think he needs stronger shoulders, the pear shape looks like it's mostly due to waist suppression and buttoning point being too high as you have noted, plus low camera position...

maybe slight roping could help a bit, but that waist needs to be brought down first on future purchases!

    Thanks fellas

I appreciated the input guys! I'll play around with a button down and some textured ties.

Thx Crusty, you're too kind :fonz:
