I never like them in a dressed up environment such as combined with a sports coat as a business casual outfit. However that is the standard office outfit in my surroundings.
I can't find one argument why one shouldn't choose chinos or odd trousers over jeans, when choosing to go BC. But I guess it's a matter of personal taste, some like it others don't.

People might crucify me for this, maybe not gdl, parker, or fuuma, but the only time I think jeans look good are like skinny black jeans in a streetwear, or greaser kind of look. I hate dressed up jeans. Just wear a suit, or odd trousers. Looks 1000x better.

Citan's jeans go well with what he's wearing, as do Timotune's shoes. my 2 cents. more conservative styles, which predominate around here, look great also...

Jeans look good with an odd coat approximately 0% of the time. There are occasional exceptions.

Your feeling is based on a certain lifestyle/demographic I assume? I mean, causal odd jackets with denim is a constant. It's pretty much a staple look at this point.

Denim looks good with an odd jacket 80% of the time. The only time it looks bad is when smooth worsted coats are chosen (or pinstripes) and or the wearer does not know how to match colors, which is tough because denim goes with most everything if the texture if ok.

    Okay, quick responses:

    Thanks mang!

That, plus the two marathons I ran earlier this year...

Thanks mang. We were in for an adoption.

    Paul Stuart.

    Thanks mang. It is done.

Lewin, but they're pretty much the same. I really wanted pink gingham but this was the closest they had on hand, and sadly I really hate the fabric, too. I have their lilac gingham and, now that I think of it, I hate that fabric as well. Maybe I should stop buying their shirts.

Re: solid shirt, I was about to go with solid pink but it's more saturated than I was comfortable wearing at the time. I usually wear solid blue with this suit, and sometimes I pair it with a similar tie that's navy/pink. I like the look a lot but it gets annoying to keep reaching for the same suit/shirt/tie combo, hence the pictured combination.

I disagree. But you know what "they" say about opinions.…

LOL, denim (in the right colour) with a grey, odd jacket looks fucking cool; anyone who says otherwise can just go cry to their mommy. :foo:

Holy crap, I agree with you.

Medium to dark wash denim looks good with:
    -Grey
    -Navy
    -Tweed
    -Linen

Odd jackets -- just as long as your using a more casual texture.

To be clear- I meant that to say that "nothing was right about the fit in question" is wrong. Not "nothing is wrong".

Can't say that I hate jeans with a random sport coat. Just keep it simple. You're not trying to dress anything up, you're just wearing a sport coat. I'm actually more adverse to khaki colored chinos and any sport coat. Feels mormon, republican 80s, prep school but not. Dunno.
