Good to see you back here! Looks great. I like the square.
Most storefront Opticians will adjust those shades for free (although I always offer to pay) regardless of whether you bought them there or not. They usually tell me that they can't be responsible for any breakage but since they do this stuff all day long, I have confidence that my glasses will not be damaged. I just had my B&L Wayferers straightened and it makes all the difference in how they feel on my face.

Somewhat more moderate temperatures in NYC have persuaded me to don a suit, albeit pincord. Today's shoes are not a traditional pairing with a suit of this material, but we're expecting a chance of rain later today, and the mixture of rain and suede shoes is not one I care to make today.

    Suit - Haspel
    Shirt & shoes - BB
    Tie - JAB

It depends on the man. If you mean en generale, then often.

Thanks guys. I have lost about 15 pounds since April; planning on dropping another 20 or so if I can.

Haven't been around much mostly because I haven't been dressing up or taking pictures much lately. It's been ridiculously hot, and I've been commuting on my motorcycle more often, neither of which is conducive to coat and tie.

Experimenting with lighter ties; it should theoretically be possible for them to work well, but I generally have trouble using them, so I figure practice will eventually make perfect. Ideas on how to use pale ties successfully will be read with interest. :)

The socks catch the eye here, but that's largely the pose. 99% of the time, you won't see them, and the 1% of the time that you do, it will just be a flash of bright colour, so I'm not concerned about their eye-catching nature in the photo.

Like HF, my instinct with lighter ties is to go with a white shirt:

Upr - the shoulders on that suit is pretty bad, especially on the right hand side. it would use some work. i actually like the shoes.

    -Sleeves are too long
    -sloppy tie knot
    -top button undone
    -shoulders look a bit wide
-and there's a possibility that you buttoned your top button into the lower buttonhole of your jacket

    Better luck next try.

Angle distorts the curve of the shoulder. Sorry if you guys are sick of this SC haha. Shirt is white.
Edit, sleeves are long. I know. Will be rectified I promise.

I disagree — it looks like the coat just doesn't fit right.

Glad that you like the shoes, and yes, the shoulders on all of my pincord/seersucker suits are very pronounced (as in huge and square) - don't know if they're worth having my tailor altering them, but will ask, once the season for such things is over.

Some thoughts on the last posters.

upr, I like this apart from the shoes. Nice to see dark socks on you. :)

Kappelan, I'm starting to be a fan of yours. Like the fits especially. Your blog is good, too. The only thing I would change here is how you fold your ps.

Holdfast, the windowpane is amazing, and the tie is not bad. Those shoes are beautiful.

Citan, I've missed your earlier posts with this jacket, but I'm already quite full of the pattern and the colors. It reminds me of things old and musty, sorry. The fit is good, but the sleeves too long. Tie, shirt and pants look OK.

Today and last week's Friday, which was freezing.
