"That's quite a dramatic suit cut; different from your usual one at all?"

Sometimes I feel like this :)

I am so far from any of Bruce Wayne :) But thanks anyway :nodding:

I like classic and simple combinations, so with your dark skin tone and high contrast:

Solid white shirt with solid black tie, solid navy tie, solid mid grey tie.

Solid light blue shirt with solid navy tie.

Summer was back in London this morning, cream linen belt backed DB, RLPL . Howard Yount pointed knit tie & Timothy Everest pocket square.
    Have a good day.

(ps. the square was tucked down after seeing these pic's, I hope it wasn't this 'proud' all morning!)

I think a white shirt wil look to bland and washed out combined with this light colored suit.
Also since it's a summer suit I think navy tie is to prefer before black.
As for shirts, solid light blue, perhaps a gingham white/purple or white/blue. Light lilac shirt would probably work as well.
Regarding tie,,,grenadine or knit, navy for example.

I tried different ties with this suit/shirt combination, some much more soporific than my final choice, but found that I was in the mood for something with a bit more flash, and this tie is narrower than many of mine, which made it work better with the narrower lapels of this suit. The next time that I wear this suit & shirt combination, I'll try something quieter.

Señor Crust, I know you have some photos to contribute to the peacockin' thread...

As in 'this stance looks one inch too high, on this frame, but I really don't know enough to arrogate an opinion'

On a single breasted suit I've come to learn to choose ones buttoning button at the slimmest part of ones natural waist. But since DB suits usually run shorter and have closed quarters I'm not sure if this rule applies anymore.

So I'm asking someone who has dabbled in bespoke double breasted suiting to shed light on my acknowledged nescience...[IMG]

As much as I most likely have many photos which would be apropos of the peacocking thread, the OP of that thread is someone who, in the past, has stated that the sight of my face made him physically ill. This, I take, as a significant disincentive to posting in his thread (even after his declaration that the source of his illness was my Van Dyke, a growth now removed from my face).

I like that suit, Holdfast. For ideas—see TTO today: blue shirt (somewhat "bluer" than you're wearing) and a navy tie.
