    0. I didn't have to, I wanted to. :D
    1. Because I can.
    2. To make him smile.
    3. So we can all see it the right way round.
    4. To have an excuse to show it again because I like the bold audaciousness of it.
    5. So you could comment and enjoy it again.
    6. To give me an excuse to properly compliment him on his outfit.

and most of all, I enjoyed doing it.

Now that the weather has cooled a bit in NYC, I'm back to suits. As it is, I've got a members' preview at the Modern this evening, for which I thought that I might like to be presentable. Note the last minute change of braces - I decided that the striped ones were too distracting, thus opting for the yellow ones. Note to Irate Customer - non-black shoes.

Disclaimer - No capes were harmed in the creation of this fit.

    Suit - Paul Stuart
    Shirt - Ike Behar
    Tie - Countess Mara
    Cufflinks - Deakin & Francis, via Penhaligon's
Braces - BB (both yellow and striped pairs)
Shoes - Bergdorf Goodman house brand

Long time lurker submitting my first obligatory self-portrait shot in the bathroom with a horrible angle...

Any opinions on fit or anything else would be appreciated. I know it's a bit hard to see the bottom part, but does the jacket look too long? I had it shortened up a bit already but afraid that any more and the pockets will be out of balance. Will have to take a shot of the back too for a 2nd opinion as I think the waist is a bit too slim and it gets weird folds in the back of my waist area.

    • Paul Stuart suit (color is a dark charcoal with brown pinstripes)
    • Cheap Chinese $15 MTM shirt
    • Giorgio Armani BL navy colored tie
    • Plus some horrible square toed Kenneth Coles that I bought before I knew better, but it's raining and they are the only rubber soled shoes I have.

Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with meeeeeeee.
Yeah, getting the most out of my summer blazers for the next month or so, sorry if it gets boring! (Bulge in the left side of the jacket is pose, not any anatomy that I know of...)
CP will love today's color scheme.

Not sure where my post went... anyways try again, posting as a long time lurker, the obligatory bathroom cell phone shot...

Any opinions appreciated. especially regarding fit and if everything matches. I have a feeling the jacket is too long but I already had it shortened and afraid any more will ruin the balance and make the pockets too low.

Paul Stuart suit (charcoal with brown pinstripes)
    Cheap Chinese $15 MTM shirt
    Giorgio Armani BL navy tie
Horrible Kenneth Cole square shoes, from before I knew any better, but it's flooding in Beijing and they're my only rubber soled shoes.

Nice. I think this would look great without a tie and maybe a yellow ps.

The shoes are actually dark brown. Irate Customer has suggested that non-black shoes would be a natural complement to today's suit - hence, a style experiment of sorts.

Iratecustomer thinks non-black shoes should be worn on all occasions. He is my nemesis.

You two need to duel. Preferably in capes. And gloves. One of which you will slap the other with to signal the duel.

Jacket looks like it could use a bit of work. Not really a fran of the mango tie either.

Curious, what do you think it could use work on. Funny thing about SF, people have stated this is one of my better fitting jackets, others have disliked it. If I take in the waist, it looks too tight and hourglass like, the shoulders lay well on me. FWIW the tie is bright yellow/gold, not mango. Again, not beiing defensive, just curious.
