Not quite as extreme, but this is on my kitchen counter:
A wonderful cape store is Tabarro San Marco di Monica Daniele, in Venezia, from which one may acquire MTO capes.
I would expect a Styleforum Affiliate Thread shortly.
I sent Miss Daniele a message a few minutes ago to consider adding an outside pocket on the breast of her capes, so that it would appeal to the colorful pocket square wearing members of the Forvm.
Remember: we've all agreed to keep the subject to capes in this thread for the next twenty four hours or so.
I had dinner with Bjork once and on that night, she wore this cape-like thing that connected to her arms. When she lifted them up, all these pockets would show. She said she sometimes kept stuff in them, but I don't remember what. I don't think they were pocket squares, FWIW.
Boring fit, busy day Monday:
Kent Wang MTM
Clearly, I have not read this thread yet today.
Can't say I'm in love with the fit but I do like the tiny cape neatly stuffed in your pocket
You are completely rigth.
I agree with you.
I would chose now also for black or grey trousers by the way.
I wrote already another member of this forum that I am still searching
to make good combinations including wearing a cape.
'There are almost no pictures or examples except from the catwalks.
But that is not sufficient enough.
I was not long ago with this tabarro on a funeral
( february - cold and grey weather - and I did the total black combination
even the scarf was black with a little white and red and high glancing black shoes )
I got unasked very much positive feedback both from men and women.
I am not lying that even a man came afterwards to me and asked me where he could buy the cape.
I do not know if he did but anyway : what I want to say is you learn from every experience.
Don't forget the $40,000 Brioni Vicuña sportcoat that doesn't fit, mt_spiffy and Axle's alfuh brag threak.
I thought Spoo had ruined this thread's new focus on capes*, but you put things right.
* And ponchos.
I can't speak for everyone, of course, but I can say that few things are as comforting to the bereaved at American funerals as the sudden arrival of a caped guest.
Did you have your cane as well?
Self made MTM Cape from last fall. Apologies for the poor lighting
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
Sir. Walking stick, please.
I think this may be more appropriate for SW&D...
