I actually find jackets with a low waist like this very flattering and much more masculine, is that what you mean by top heavy?

Very good. Great shirt collar. Pants maybe 1/2 inch too short.

This is interesting. Don't take this the wrong way, but there's a kind of faded/shabby charm about the patterns/colours and fit you're combining together here. I can't quite place my finger on it, but it feels a bit "80s bureaucrat gone slightly wild". It actually reminds me (in the overall slight parallel reality effect, rather than in garment stylistic detail) of some of the costumes in Terry Gilliam's Brazil. That's an intriguing effect to be able to generate with such an apparently straightforward outfit. I don't know whether that impression says more about my preconceptions or your fit, but I rather like feeling such a surprising reaction compared to the more predictable/easily understood reactions (whether positive or negative) I have to most outfits posted here.

I suppose you could translate all the above waffle as saying that I think you have real & genuine style even though I don't actually like the outcome on a personal/aesthetic level. And that is great.

I don't think there's drape in it, but the button stance, gorge, and cuffs look very 80s to me.

I like your outfit very much.

However :- (doing a really positive crit here)
    1. Trousers are short, the leg bottoms should touch your shoe and have a slight break.
    2. Tie could be a little wider to go with those lapels.
    3. You have your blues together beautifully, shirt, tie, PS border, very nice with the grey but
    4. There is red/maroon, and green in your jacket that could be explored to great effect rather than the blue which i think should be taking a back seat.
    5. colours / patterns / texture you have done well.
    6. observation. If you gonna wear greys and blues only then I would prefer black shoes.
    7. The jacket fits you nicely though buttons and pockets are fairly low.

Just my thoughts on the outfit.

Have a wonderful day and i am sure you will look 100% better than 99% of the guys out there wherever you go. :D

    Agreed.

This is about the most helpful, non-crappy, non-insider joke critique in recent memory. Just think about everyone you see on the streets these days to know that almost anyone on this forum, with very few exceptions, is a breath of fresh air from dull, boring, ill-fitting clone-like dress. The pity comes when guys post and seasoned members here, who could be helpful and influential, are just rude instead. But then, that's sort of how life goes these days isn't it?

    Okay now I understand you.
Well the cape is no fleece but from heavy high quality sheepwool. ( Made in Italy)
Probably you cannot see this from the picture.
    It wears absolutely fantastic !

This combination is not meant to go to the opera.
It 's for a free time stroll in the park and the center of the city.

What 's wrong with the coherence according to you ?

I think a lot of us would be amused by someone wearing that cape and strolling along center city or the park. No offense!

Well the only similarity I can discover between this and the tabarro is in this case the colour.
It migth be perhaps not your taste, but okay, tastes may differ
and I do like it ( purple - dark bown/purple black)
( I think the colour fits this lady as well by the way )

    Then the similarity stops.

The snuggle blanket is from fleece,
the tabarro from heavy sheep wool.

    The snuggle blanket has arms,
the tabarro has not, because it is meant as a cape.
( Probably it did occur to you they are partly back in men' s fashion )

The snuggle blanket is for inside use,
    the tabarro is for outside.

What I do agree with you is that it is neither my taste
to use your purple snuggle blanket
as part of a fashion combination for outside.

But do call me old fashioned :
I personally do not get the comparison.

    Why amused ?

Is it about the cape ?
Is it about the colour of the cape ?
    Or both ?
