The only think that comes to mind if the button is in fact a fulcrum would be loosening up the chest, which isn't really doable properly. Perhaps losening up the upper side seams a bit.

One thing you can try is buttoning the top button with the middle button. If t he fronts are still overlapping than it is just the cut of the suit. If they open up more, then the jacket is too snug.

Usually if a jacket is too snug in the chest you see lapel bowing, which doesn't seem to be the case here.

It's actually a German saying, originally, and some of its meaning has been lost in translation. So you're not wrong to think the literal phrase is a little odd.

By a quick glance it looked like the right shoulder was a hair big, but everything else looked fine. Is that suit linen? To me, linen is a little more "southern" and therefore is ok to flow a little more. Put it this way, that suit shouldn't look like it is from Topman.

So, I think I've found my best fitting coat to date.

    What do you think?

Thanks guys. I think this and my caruso suit seem to be more the direction I should be going with my suits and jackets. I think the corneliani from monday also fits me well, the angle wasn't the best but it doesn't feel tight at all either.

The suit is 100% linen, Borrelli luxury vintage line. The jacket is a bit loose in the shoulders but it just could be the cut of the jacket and the natural shoulders, which I am used to but not with no padding at all like this.

FWIW the tie is not lime green like it appears, it is more of a bright kelly green. I just noticed on my computer monitor it looks brighter.

Everything but the shirt and tie (both bespoke) is crappy rental gear :( but I thought I'd post it just for fun anyway.

Spoo, I think a true robo-pose is required if you're making bold statements like that. I tend to agree with Ed's comment, though.
