we dont need 100 photos
Thanks. The suit is from Suit Supply. This is how it fit right out of the box, so I lucked out there. On the tie, the dark squares are sort of a mix of burgundy and purple. I'm not exactly sure what to call it. The lighter squares are pretty close to white, with just a hint of light purple-ish hue.
I'm curious, was the Jubilee an excuse for your neighborhood to have a party, or are there really parties going on to celebrate someone you don't know holding the same job for a long time? (I'm asking from the point of view of a citizen of a country without a monarchy whose leader changes every 4-8 years).
It originally was made as a 3r2, and the last time I had it cleaned/pressed, they screwed it up. I'm going to have to take it somewhere else to "reset" it, since i specifically told these people to roll it to the second button. In that regard, how difficult is it to "reset" the lapel? Obviously I don't want an unsightly crease in the lapel where this place screwed it up.
The suit is certainly boxy, and your criticism is well-taken. I could swear that the quarters used to be more open than it shows in that picture. Not sure if it had something to do with the way I was standing, or what. When I had it made, I specifically asked for more of a "sack" type suit (a la, older Brooks Brothers style). I'm an attorney, and the judges and entire legal system here (and, probably, most other places) is still very conservative with court dress, so I didn't want anything with super-suppressed waists, incredibly narrow lapels, etc. I have an appointment to talk about another suit next week, and I plan to make this next one a little less boxy and more slim, yet still conservative.
NY - you're on the right track. I've never had to reset a lapel but I'm assuming if they can screw it up, they can fix it. Something must be done about that though
Good luck with it!
Big hurry this morning.
from yesterday, had photobucket issues so i couldnt post it.
excuse the lawn.
Am liking this. Well coordinated. Nice tie there
On second examination I think I need to take in this suit in a few places, feels a bit big especially in the chest/shoulders, maybe waist too but I don't want it tugging. Maybe I am just not used to how things are "suppose" to fit, as I took everyones suggestion to ease up on tightness. I also need to take in the sleeves more, my tailor didn't take them in enough so dropping it off today after work but wanted thoughts on other alterations. First slubby silk tie purchase.
