Trying out my new tie and sport coat. The sport coat I literally took out of the bag it was mailed in five minutes ago, so excuse the wrinkles. How does the fit look? I know the sleeves need to be shortened and there's a bit of a collar gap, but other than that what should I tell my tailor to do?

The triangle of shirt peeking out 'neath the jacket button is most distressing, Sheepy. Most distressing.

Does not fit. See if the tailor has a client for whom it might work.

Can you be more specific? Is it that bad I should just resell it? I know the arms are super wrinkled, but that's because of the way it was mailed (jammed up in a usps envelope). To my admittedly untrained eye, it seems my shoulders fit okay so perhaps alterations can fix the rest, but honestly I'm a beginner so who knows.

I feel alot better about this suit today. Should I let the waist out a bit to balance with my hips? I really love higher armholes...

I think it looks pretty good personally - especially if the tighter waist is different than the other suits in your wardrobe. A little variety is not a terrible thing, and that waist doesn't appear to tight to me (i.e., you don't have that classic 'button-pull' look). I would keep as is!

Keep wearing tailored, fitted shirts/jackets with baggy pants fashionista --- relevant and couture for sure.
