This is very good. My only nit is I might have gone with a shirt with a more subtle pattern, or even a solid in a light blue. I think the shirt still works though, just that I wouldn't have chosen it. That's a great pattern on the coat also..
Thanks for your opinion. I too had doubts at a shirt choice, but have decided to risk.[IMG]

What cloth is that, by the way? Seems like I just it or similar in one of the books.

    Excellent.

Clearly they're too short, but until you mentioned it, I hadn't actually noticed. So good choice with that shirt! Either that or the ubiquity of short sleeves/jackets in photoshoots over the past 5 years or so has seeped irrevocably into my subconsious...

I am finding now that I like just a sliver of shirt showing, as long as it is consistent and I am not always chasing my cuffs. Like my former shying away from, and recently embracing of once again, black shoes, I find myself bucking the SF thought process that I once adhered to strictly. I find myself very self-conscious these days with an inch of shirt cuff showing.

Is that almost a smile, Mike? [IMG]

Almost. When I can manage a smile on camera that does not add 16 chins to my already fat face (made extra fat by the world's meanest point and shoot), you will see my smile in full regalia.

    Those shoes!!!

I think that is very cool that you have a shirt from your dad from the 80's and you wear it. How nice to have an article of clothing with a story.

I remember that look well from the mid-80's. How about wearing it with a grey flannel suit and black shoes sometime (maybe cooler time of year than now[IMG] ) to show the way it was rocked in those days? (oh, and no TV fold, that would have been a non-no then)

I have struggled with how to wear this. I was tempted to follow the RLPL lead and pair it with a dark chalkstripe suit and ultra loud tie, but I really can't see myself pulling that off.

I think it works brilliantly with the blazer. Would not like it with a formal suit.

Thanks, Mr. D. I think it is a cool shirt, one to be worn when the mood strikes. Also, I think best with a DB as I don't want too much horizontal stripe showing on the already wide real estate that is my upper body. [IMG]

Love the lapels. Peaked lapel Seersucker suit. That is, in a word, badass.
