Think I've seen this shape on a DJ in the movie Casablanca.

The lapel can be reshaped easy enough but discuss the new shape in detail with whoever does it. The ideal on this jacket would have the lower pockets 3/4" lower and a lower button point to elongate the lapel

I like the tie the best. IMO you have too many patterns at going on. The PS grabs all the attention and it should not.

New linen sportcoat, my first one. Thoughts on alterations? Initial thought, I am going to shape the chest a bit above the waist line and maybe open the quarters a bit if possible. seems to fit ok in the shoulders.

Chest and back need to be taken in. Quarters are fine, don't touch them.

Geez Shah other's may say you looking cool dude, and maybe even you think so, but I think it looks like you got out of a tumble drier backwards with all those creases and wrinkles.

To make it worse, none of it fits you, the jacket sleeves are too long and rolled back, is it kinda like an anorak gone wrong with all the padding in the chest area. The trousers are also too long.

Shouldn't this rather have been posted in some other thread. It doesn't really fit in here at all. You seem to keep posting these 'casual' outfits that you say are designed by some person whose name i cannot even pronounce dear, let alone heard of, as if I am supposed to be awestruck or something.

A personal challenge for you :-
Try really hard, and see if you can wear a stylish suit and tie outfit soon that we can all swoon over and be happy about. :nodding:

Spend a week reading the SW&D casual thread and the monstrous stuff they drool over. This will look like the greatest fit ever afterwards. I rate his fits based on what is considered good where he comes from. And it's a huge improvement.

I like your coat rome! I am also going to be adding some white or smoked grey mother of pearl buttons to add a nice touch to it. I think shaping the chest a bit will make it flow better. we shall see.

    yeah
my jacket has smoked gray buttons (working cuffs too)
but i like the buttons on yours right now as well

    BB fitz, huh?
i can see the sleeve tag
i think you can find a better starting point before you invest all that money into tailoring that jacket
unless if you got it for a really really sweet deal

hmm looking at these pictures, i think i should slim my jacket sleeves

I dunno if I can find something cheaper than this at the same or better quality. My usual suspects (ebay, b&s etc) have been dry. I shaped the chest a bit on another fitz I have and it turned out ok. ill see what my tailor says and if it is worth it. I don't think it looks terrible but my other Fitz jackets are a lil slimmer in the armhole. not sure why this one is a bit looser/low.

    Tight linen is kinda self-defeating.

Rome, jacket looks good too. Need to take up the sleeves a bit though.

Probably referring to me, yours looks ideal to me. I will not be doing anything drastic with it, just give it a bit of shape without being tight. I am beyond tight clothing, seems silly to me in retrospect..
