There is something oh so elegant about the way Spoo's collar curls gently and tucks underneath his jacket lapels. *drools*

I find the tie hideous, but I believe this can be saved by adding either a navy blazer or some kind of dark jacket or sport coat. Orange and that olive-adjacent tan of the jacket look horrid together. As for the jacket, KILL IT WITH FIRE. Also, something is off about the tie's shape... maybe a different knot or the same knot but tied better...

    ^^

ABirdinHand, the tie isn't awesome, but whatever. The shape is fine, and the jacket is fine -- just perhaps avoid wearing a tie to go with it.

Also, homeboys block they faces out and shit because bearing one's likeness in photographs on super accessible websites is to many, undesirable.

Yea, honestly I think the jacket is very casual and should probably be worn with dark denim and maybe a gingham shirt, rather than attempting to pair it with slacks and a tie. Oddly enough, I got a lot of compliments on it at work today... but I tend to agree with the consensus of this thread and will avoid wearing it this way in the future.

    Thanks for input!

what i have learned, is that if the general population gives you a lot of compliments on something, you are likely doing something wrong. :foo:

That could do well. What line of work are you in?

And hey, I think that if you skipped the tie, you'd be able to wear it, but I'm me, so what the fuck do I know?

    How's America treating you?

Beautiful day in Syd today; hopefully we're seeing the end of this rainy BS!

Mate, America is hot, cheap and fuckin' awesome -- but I'm starting to really miss Sydney. I can't catch public transport anywhere, and people keep laughing at my accent.

I heard it's been a really warm winter back home. That true?

Also, that bow-tie is neat. Suit is from PJ, yeah?

    1) Good to hear; take the high ground and laugh at them first! :slayer:

    2) Getting warmer here; hopefully it stays that way.

    3) Yes, suit is PJ; bow tie is Panta (Ed Morel) from NYC.

Bro, it's hard when everyone's carrying firearms.

Nice, nice. It's not as aggressively styled as most of the his commissions I see around, bar the waist suppression. I like it.

It also seems to be a good defense against ending up in Mr. Sam's gallery. :)

The collar looks like it's trying to crawl under the lapel and over to the backside. Is that a cutaway collar? IMO, this would look better with a BD, would provide a better frame for the face.

    Oh, and nice shoes :)

The weather has become more moderate in NYC, and I, being tired of khakis and polo shirts for work, decided to "up the ante" a bit.

As for blocking my face, I don't, because a). I'm lazy; b). if I have to suffer with this face, so should you; and c.) because faceless photos seem to have an essential element of context missing. Just my opinion.

I think people block their face so should they decide to break the law and end up in the news their fit pics won't be trolled. #kevinsp8

    Those shoes are gross, upr.

Given the recent discussion on wedding outfits, here is what I wore to a friend's wedding two days ago, with black unseen captoes and navy socks; the tie is a Brioni sevenfold in black-and-silver houndstooth. All criticism welcome :)!
