As sugarbutch noted, you have to get that suit tightened up.

The changes are very good. These are the adjustments you made to your Chan orders after you received your NSM jacket right? Your new Chan look like an optimal blend of the conservative shoulder expression and NSM styled extended shoulder + wider lapels.

yep that's right. Now the other pattern change I asked for was to add 1cm to the trousers length... but they shortened it by 1cm - so it's now almost an inch shorter than I wanted... :fu:

I don't believe it can be tightened up. It needs to be sold to a taller man, and he should buy a suit made for someone his height.

A question - it seems the go-to combo with this type of a jacket is a light blue shirt and light khaki/cream trousers, which is what I am wearing - the Cucinelli "catalog" look for lack of better terms. I am not looking to get crazy with patterns or anything, but are there any other "safe" plays with such a jacket?

Given the colors, could I mix and match other colored pants. In my wardrobe, I have a couple of shades of khaki/stone and they didn't look very good. Also, I experimented with navy and those didn't look very good. I am thinking pants in a shade of burgundy or maybe a blue that is slightly lighter than navy. This might be most appropriate for Vox's Practical Thoughts for Beginners Thread, but that sort of died off so I thought I'd give it a shot here.

    Thanks in advance.

Agreed that the pants are way too long, that will be fixed soon. As far as the jacket, the fit is much better than this picture shows, I think the angle throws off the length and makes it look too long.

I have a jacket with a very similar pattern. I'm wearing it today, in fact. I usually wear it with sky blue or blue pencil striped shirts. In the winter I wear charcoal pants. In the spring I wear white (or ecru) pants. On weekends I wear it with raw denim. I like the combo you have going now.

Is this fresco? I am thinking what to do with the brown fresco, patch or welt breast pocket? I'll probably use the jacket more often.

The jacket is a few inches too long. You should be able to cup the hem of the coat in your hand. This coat is almost as long as your arm with your fingers extended. The lower button point doesn't help. It makes your torso look really long, and your inseam looks like it's in the low-20's.

No I was doing both for a bit. I decided to drop Chan a few months ago after a series of fuck-ups on their side and what I perceive as poor and declining customer service.
