Yes, friends, I know this would be better with gray slacks. But I can't always pair this jacket with gray slacks, so cut me some ... you know ... slack. (Poofy PS is for acrid, by request.)
These are exactly the type of shoe that Flusser is talking: these are Peals for Brooks, the pair are deadstock 1960s, unworn: Now imagine plain, navy #1 sack on top of that, striped tie with the stripes slanted in a way opposite of most English club ties, and a white oxford shirt with a button down collar. A look comfortable for few, and anathama to many.
