There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

More time spent on proper fit, less time spent on fun socks and pocket square peacocks. That blue on blue is not boring.

Who mentioned socks or pocket squares?

Blue on blue, especially that blue on blue is incredibly boring.

Socks and squares and ties are often used to bring in the color and contrast, which you have said make an "outfit" more stylish. But too often loud colors and contrasts are used to distract from the fact that everything does not fit as it should.

I hate to break it to you fellas, but none of you is talking about style. You're talking about stuff and rules and whatnot.

    Yes.
Very true. How about this, do you think the fit Kaplan posted is stylish or is it rather pedestrian?

Ant Honey, I said it earlier on and will say it again. I think Kaplan is very stylish, not garish, nor fashionable. The black shoes are the correct choice.
In fact I personally think he is possibly more stylish in his blue and white than the Sean Connery you choose to depict in your avatar, who would typically be dressed in black and white only, complete with black shoes.

addendum: As sugarbutch says, it is about style, in other words, how he carries or wears his clothes, how they fit him, how relaxed and comfortable he appears in them, not how bright his PS or tie is, or how many patterns or colours there might be. Boring, but a class act to follow, I bet you cannot follow!!

Nature abhors a vacuum. Most particularly the one inside an empty belt-loop. ;)

This is great all over! I will steal this fit as I have very similar items in the closet. Thanks!

Ant Honey: Yes, I think Kaplan looks stylish. Might he also look stylish with brown shoes and a different tie? I have no doubt that he would. I also think Tirailleur looks stylish most of the time, but there's not much which objectively connects these two men and their preferred corners of MC. This talk of style gets into the Potter Stewart zone fairly quickly...

Sorry, I am not 100% sure what you want to tell me, my English vocabulary is too bad.
You mean you wore a dress pant with belt loops you felt the need to fill with ... a belt?

So one of the most classic color combinations (navy suit -- black shoe) does not go. Btw, Black, Grey, White and Brown are neutral colors. Highlighted part of post = teh funny.

    Kaplan, you look great.

It's hard to imagine how Adolf here has produced 11,000+ posts when he clearly puts so much thought and effort into ensuring each and every one adds to the conversation.

Wow. Thanks for all the comments. While I'm not sure I have a tie that's much more interesting than that one, I'm sure I'll get to wear this suit with brown shoes as well. For those that inquired about the background, It's an amphitheatre in a park close by.

My last fit didn't go over well, and I'm not sure how this one will be received. But here goes. (Still deciding whether my failure to be deterred is bravery or stupidity) Let me acknowledge upfront the poor quality of the pictures/flash/pose. Also, since this was taken at end of day, the trousers are less than pristine. Again, sorry. [IMG]
