I am personally well aware of the labels. I think the slouchy silhouette is a look and can look fashionable when done right, but only when done right. All-in-all the "anti-fit", a term which has been around for a while now is really just a surrender at even trying, be it for any reason.

    Maybe they're all Chaplin fans?

Anti-anything is usually a much easier path to take than playing by the rules and succeeding. That's why nihilism is so popular among the young and rich. Not to start a huge discussion or anything of that sort, but I prefer my clothing to positively outline my rather fit body shape, instead of hiding it. If I were fat or out of shape, I'd probably wear something like Shah is wearing much more often.

I'll reiterate that I like the top part of your outfit, Shah. It's the untucked shirt and the messy pants where it stops working for me.

while I also embrace slimmer outfits (indeed the aforementioned suit by raf is obviously slim if you know raf) , I hate the concept of rules. And so I am not bound by them but traverse the spectrum as I please. Call it laziness/lack of ability, I call it unbridled enthusiasm for creative expression. I am not limited to wearing suits 5 days a week and so I do everything from sarouel + bomber + tee to slim black coated denim + sneakers (margiela/cp) + blazer to boots + trousers + jacket either cut slim or all wide. But as to the anit- is easier, I would like you to try a Yohji look and tell me it's easier than having a slim-cut outfit tailored to your exact proportions. It's quite aggressive. This wasn't even the mainline (Pour Homme) but the more youthful, though still oversized, Y's jacket. And you have a good eye if you can appreciate it.

I am quite comfortable with what I wear ... indeed, it's not a look for all, and I didn't think it would be well-received here at all, I just posted mostly in jest :p

Relax, man. I also have a Yamamoto jacket that I love and wear the hell out of. But it doesn't mean I have to throw it on with what appear to be sweat pants and post a picture of myself looking like I just lost a fight with a homeless dude.

I don't think everyone's dismayed by the look you were aiming for, but rather, that you missed it, and in some pretty obvious / easily corrected ways.

You are a true nomad of style, sailing the pastures of fashion hither and thither, pitching a tent on that hillock, or this dale, hoisting anchor sometimes, lowering anchor at others, unfettered, free, free as a Free Bird.

    Believe me, I understand.

I got some exceptionally boring socks in the mail from Spoo today and thought of you. Posted them in the recent purchases thread.

They have dots on them, I'll find some place to wear them, perhaps with shorts? It was a package deal [IMG]

so the aesthetic appeal only comes with recognition of the brand, right?
