The shirt is a manufacturer brand from a local retailer here.

Slacks seem to fit fine, but jacket fits quite poorly. Jacket is too short, sleeves are too short, and the buttoning point is too high. As others have said, way too much of your shirt is showing below the button.

Poor lighting. The shirt is pink. The light is doing something odd with the color of the trousers. Oh well.

    Hi all,

first post here. I'll reserve manufacturer details until after comments/abuse roll in.

Apologies for the poor pics. New camera on it's way. I'll do better next time around. Maybe I'll even develop a signature pose.

    Thanks in advance!

Edit - seems we need to let this jacket out a smidge in the waist.

It's not terrible, but it's not how I like a suit to fit personally. But I don't think there's much a tailor could do to remedy that.

Kappelan - you could probably stand to undo another shirt button.

Splaying open below the button in a slightly awkward way, no? Too tight at the button maybe? Also, I think the jacket's already significantly too short, but hey, you all know I like slightly longer jackets.

Re: the discussion upthread with CEP and Testudo re: ties, and different ways of balancing looks, I wore this outfit today specifically to point out a context where I would definitely use a solid black tie with a patterned suit, to ground it. In this case the suit - while still fairly boldly patterned - is significantly less striking than the one from yesterday. IMO, that makes it capable of taking a black textured tie without the tie being too sedate for the suit. It also helps that I'm wearing a solid shirt today vs. the patterned one yesterday. If you like, the rest of of the outfit is not quite so crazy-bold to be untamable with dark solid tie in the way yesterday's was. Again, I want to highlight that I'm not proposing any universally applicable rule or even guidance, just demonstrating how I personally tend to think about patterns.

As a side-note it also demonstrates a case where (unlike yesterday where it was omitted) I thought a pocket square was needed to provide some visual counterpoint.
