NO, no they don't. And please don't encourage this type of behavior Derk.
What does FWIW mean?
The suit looks awesome. Who makes it?
As a side note, I would have done a solid/subdued shirt (with a longer collar) due to the amount of pattern in the suit.
For What Its Worth
Awesome outfit, very smart!!
FWIW, if anyone can rock a chocolate brown cord suit it is you. But I think that tie with such a bold suit is a bit much, and maybe that is what is giving you hesitation. I wonder what a solid gold or yellow-gold tie would do for the suit...especially in Fall?
You are the best dressed shrink, ever. Or maybe things are different across the pond.
Not sure about the scarf and gloves. To my n00b eyes it looks a little contrived. BUT you, the suit and the setting have a very good vibe reminiscent of Connery's look in the first couple of Bond films (minus some of the hair, of course.)
IMHO you should go for more drape, like upr_crust does.
I really like your outfit today. I also like it that you have taken time to fit your tie knot into your collar perfectly.
Thanks for the input (although I still don't quite know what drape means... those little waves in the chest from extra material?). I actually have two of these broad houndstooth black and white coats that I am trying to decide between, and then I am going to the tailor.
Here is the other one.
this coming from a guy who doesnt like to wear ties in fear of getting them stained by his cheetos covered fingers.
I saw that tie. I thought, "who could wear that tie?". I replied, "Spoo." Thanks for proving me right!
As far as the get-up, I can see why you don't dig it, your generally too sleek for a cord suit. I guess its like the 3 pair of fancy Loro Piana made cords I have in my closet that I just keep passing over when it comes time to pick out a pair of trousers. You just picked yours out. Had I picked out mine, I'd feel the same way.
i like the pattern, but its far too wide up top...(no idea what its called) but it shows too much shirt collar.
